Most ankle & foot rests are too big/wide for me. However, it was so narrow that I could only hold it for a short time because it cut off my circulation. I only wore it once as it made me very uncomfortable, after that it was not used again. This may be fine for a teen or child with shoes smaller than women's size 8.
