Beautiful chain but super thin should be worn by itself only

I purchased this chain without realizing just how thin it was. It is super super thin. I used it to replace a chain I had which my dog destroyed. The problem is I'm not confident it will continue to support the pendant on the end of my starmapjewelry.com necklace. It really is meant to just be worn by itself.

I used it for my rose gold pendant , it works very well and I am someone who wears it all the time
