The wall shelf I received had scratches and scuffs on the front in a few places, but it's not noticeable when you hang it up. However, I am amazed at the overall quality of the item as a new product shouldn't look this shabby. At first glance, I wasn't too happy with the size of the two horizontal compartments. I can place my Kindle horizontally on the bottom shelf, but the top shelf is too small to use. It seems solid enough considering it's made out of two pieces of plastic. Unfortunately I didn't use a bubble level when mounting the shelf to the wall which was a big mistake. The shelf was noticeably uneven, with one end higher than the other. I considered leaving it alone, but my ongoing OCD was getting the better of me, so I yanked hard on the shelf until it came loose, and so did my wall. Now I have four horrible gray scratches on the wall where the glue has peeled off the white paint that I can't get rid of. My wall is irretrievably destroyed and this shelf is useless because the glue is disposable. Just great.
