Review on ๐Ÿ”ข LYMFHCH Steampunk Numerals with Personalized Patterns by Brandon Mercado

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A little bigger than expected

My first pocket watch. Mechanically bootable. Originally bought to wear to a friends wedding. I wasn't expecting much, but I ended up enjoying it more than I thought it would. Decided that the review was ok. This isn't a bad little watch. It has a good sense of weight (about 2oz/60g). It looks beautiful and it's beautiful to look at. The gears and parts inside look a little rough, but they do the job. The chain looks good too. The front cover is glass, as is the rear window, which I think makes it a lot better than the regular plastic I was expecting. However, the cover on the front is plastic when opened. It should never be a problem if most of his life is closed. I also thought it was a "press crown to open case" watch. Not this case. This small protrusion on the upper left side of the case, next to the crown, opens it up to the desktop viewing position. Not a minus, just not paying attention to one small detail. This ran about a second slower per hour. Somehow I didn't think it would be ideal for a $20 Chinese mechanical watch. Removed the back cover, barely pulled the adjustment lever up (the one with the two dots, there are pictures on the web to point you in the right direction if you're curious) and the speed went up to 1 second per hour. Very sensitive. I'm sure with patience and some luck it can be reduced to a second every few hours or so either way. I can't say anything about the durability of the item. It can last several days or several years. Although it's still cool. My only disappointment, at least with the watch I received was not as rich blue as pictured. It's more of a lighter "old" gray-blue. Hence -1 star. The picture with this rating is a bit closer, but still not quite true.
