Review on πŸŽ’ HDE Military Lightweight Expandable Travel Gear by Trisha Hunter

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A small backpack that looks cooler than useful. Unless you are a kid.

First impression? Well, that's a neat little thing. I think I should have paid more attention to the sizing before purchasing. The silhouette of the person in the photos is estimated to be 5 feet 6 inches tall. design features? Thing doesn't look bad. I had no problems with sewing, tearing or anything like that. I bought this bag in college because we were sitting on over 600 acres of forest and starting camping and trekking. The bag has plenty of Molle style straps and plenty of pockets and compartments. The zips are large and seem very strong, I gripped this thing tightly and never had a problem with the zip breaking. Complaints? OK, I have a couple of complaints. Okay, I lied, I have many complaints. 1-This thing is very small. The bag is small and the more you stuff into it the more uncomfortable it becomes.2-The description contradicts itself by saying it's 20L then 30L. I think 20 l pushes it. at the wrong place. When I wear it, the padding starts just behind my shoulder. Seems useless. 4. Tried to stuff it all the way in and still stow things I wanted in it, even though it's small (small sleeping bag, ENO hammock, ENO bug net, small tarp, first aid, water, etc.). The pocket sticks out and becomes almost round. It doesn't suit you at all and just becomes the most annoying $20 piece you can carry. Final Thoughts? I do not recommend this. Don't buy it unless it's for a kid who just wants to be like dad and take something with them on a camping or camping trip. I gave three stars because I still have it. It has lasted since mid 2014 when I bought it. I'm too cheap to buy another one, so I just took it. I currently have it in the back of my truck as my Winter Get Home bag.

Pros
  • Quick release buckles and padded straps reduce weight and reduce fatigue when carrying heavy loads
