Review on πŸŽ’ Stylish and Compact: Osprey Packs Arcane Small Black Backpack for Everyday Use by Josh Allen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Premium Minimalist Backpack

Arcane Small Backpack is very, very small. It's only 16 inches tall, weighs 1.3 pounds and has a capacity of just 10 liters. Most of my other backpacks are 18.5 to 20 inches high and hold around 30 liters on average. I was blown away that I could fit a 13" MacBook Air into the small Arcane. The tablet sleeve also fits the 9.7" iPad with slim case. The main compartment has a laptop compartment, a tablet compartment and a monomesh -Zippered pocket. Monomesh is a weird polymer material that's a bit transparent. It's cool and I love that Osprey is experimenting with new materials. You can put a laptop charger, headphones and maybe a small book in the main compartment, but this It already was. The slash pocket on the "front" of the bag has a vertical zipper and inside there is a clip to attach your keys to. There is also a small divider inside the bag to store your phone to keep it safe and not only move freely in the bag, the straps also have mini pockets, there is an elastic pocket on the right strap, you can use for things like Li balm, chewing gum, a pen, etc. On the other strap there is a normal fabric pocket, which can come in handy when you go by bus or train. The left strap detaches so you can clip it around the leg of a table/chair or similar, which can be useful to deter thieves from grabbing your bag and running away. The only minor downside to the Arcane is that while I like the feel, look and durability of the canvas-like material, it does attract lint and dust. The Arcane backpack is definitely a premium backpack that uses excellent materials and is very well made. . However, it's very small, so best suited for minimalists, not those who like to carry all sorts of "just in case" items (like me).
