Love to stand the test of "time "?

You know it was a watch, I really wanted to give it more stars. Let me tell you a short story about a girl and her watch: I first saw it at Revain and freaked out when I saw the starting price was over $200. ugh So I waited and waited and waited weeks for it to go on sale. I watched almost every day as it fell and fell and slowly came closer until it hit my budget and failed again the next day. Finally, on a blessed day and hour, lo and behold, it was under $50. SALE! TAKE MY MONEY! I thought of it as an early Christmas present (which I think everyone should do if they can). And it was like a marriage made in heaven. I mean, the skin felt buttery soft, the thin strap contrasted perfectly with the big face without creating an awkward proportion or making my not-so-thin wrists too big, very petite signature "JE" touches. On the dial or on the back of the dial, small slivers of diamonds made me imagine it was far more luxurious than reality, as the perfect peach hue complemented my slightly olive but mostly pale skin and the gentle tick-tock of the color second hand, um the dial wrapped, and rose gold. I mean I really enjoyed it! Since then I've been wearing it at least once a week, if not several times a week, and it's holding up pretty well. Although the bracelet was slightly faded, it was worn a little more than usual, there were no scratches on the face or metal. I also enjoyed the many compliments I got when I wear it, "woo" and "*gasp* where did you get that adorable watch?!" All of this helped boost my ego just enough that I wouldn't regret the purchase . But last Sunday *DUN DUN DUNNNNN* the needle broke! And not instead of the buckle. I'm talking about the part of the strap that wrapped around the face pin was still in place, but it separated from the rest of the strap when my hand touched the box I was moving. Who does this happen to? Oh yes, me. *sigh* oh, I'm trying not to cry (I live in Arizona, they evaporate before they're even an inch from my eye). But I'm also trying to evaluate if it's love, to stand the test of 'time' and wallet, and if I buy another one, I'll experience the same heart again.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Mostly good but...
