Review on ๐Ÿ–ฑ๏ธ EVGA X17 Gaming Mouse: Wired, Black | Customizable, 16,000 DPI | 5 Profiles, 10 Buttons | Ergonomic 903-W1-17BK-KR by Payton Stovall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The X15 leaves a lot to be desired for a 2021 MMO mouse, but it shows promise.

I wrote a long review on this but Revain updated and I lost all my work here so I'll just give you a summary of the pros and cons. Advantages: 1. Braided cable! He looks smooth. It can kink a little, but glides easily and lets the mouse move without stickiness. The mouse feels good as a palm rest for my large hand. It's a big mouse, a bit powerful, but not bad.3. The second MMO mouse in history (the second after the G600) to have the third mouse button reassigned as a "Shift" key, allowing you to quickly switch between primary and secondary keyboard shortcuts. However, I am using this as a dpi.4 shift. The mouse wheel feels very comfortable. Cons: 1. Side buttons are everywhere. This chunky design can get nice over time, I don't know, but I can tell you right now that I want to know where all the buttons are again. I would prefer a standard MMO layout like G600, Scimitar or Naga.2. The Unleash RGB software (see screenshot) has terrible key binding options. No integration with Discord or OBS. There is no news anywhere about promises to update this in the future. Let's hope EVGA fixes that. It currently looks like 2009.3 software. The lighting could be a lot better and it feels rushed. The light design basically consists only of the side buttons. It would be nice to see some decorative lights, and that front might look like lights, but that's okay. Very disappointing. Overall it's still better than the G600, but not by much. In that sense, the software also has a lot of shortcomings when it comes to lighting options. The software just requires a lot of work overall. This mouse shows a lot of potential, but at the end of 2021 that potential was wasted. I hope they update the mouse with better software sooner rather than later. If they can compete with Logitech software, they really can compete with all other MMO mice. I like the feel of the mouse and they have a great start but at the end of the game it leaves a lot to be desired. You have a lot of catching up to do.
