April 2021 3 star review update. My original 5 star review was written at the end of October 2020 (see below) and I wear these shoes well for part of the meantime between October 2020 and April 2021. They were always comfortable and never had an unpleasant shoe smell despite being wet once or twice. I've noticed that they get a bit sloppy around the heel and rearfoot, but I've been pretty happy with them except for one thing. The soles of both shoes are coming off at the front. Whether I can fix them by regluing the soles before they fall apart remains to be seen. Because I liked this pair so much at first, I immediately bought a second pair, which we use from time to time, so they are still like new. Now there's a clear difference between the two pairs: a well-used pair actually feels a lot looser and offers less support than another, less-used pair. One thing I noticed despite wearing them regularly is that the soles that come loose on the first pair wear very little. Other brands of shoes I've had in the past have worn out the soles much sooner than the rest of the shoe so I think being able to keep them on the shoe is good. Will I buy them again? Maybe. Finding good slippers that don't require tying or knotting isn't easy, and they've always been relatively easy to put on, always comfortable enough even for long periods of standing. But at $10 a month (six months of use if I can't fix it) seems a bit excessive. Hopefully a good cleaning (of the surfaces to be bonded) with acetone, some good quality contact glue and a couple of clips to hold them together for a day or two until the glue has fully set will extend the life. There won't be much left if I can't fix them. First rating October 2020: 5-star rating. After seeing over 13,000 reviews on these shoes, I knew there was probably something good about these shoes for me. I have an old spinal injury that makes tying my shoelaces and putting shoes on my feet that are too tight quite difficult. I also recently recovered from debilitating plantar fasciitis in my left foot and need good foot support with shoes. Sometimes it's hard to find without spending a lot of money. These shoes fit really well and are pretty easy to put on. I sometimes use a small tool to help with this maneuver, but I can put it on fairly easily without a shoehorn. Good stability when walking over rough terrain (not hiking, just a trail) and my feet don't seem to slip or move in the shoes at all. For the price, I have to say that I am delighted with the shoes. these shoes, in fact I recently ordered a second pair. How durable they are over time I can't say but they seem to be well made and I hope they wear out. Featured!
