I love versatile sets that don't require you to do anything to prepare your little one or big child's birthday party. This is a lego birthday party building block set but not in the lego style. It comes with a very thin little plastic tablecloth which is very pretty. I just taped it under the table from side to side. Enough for 24 with plates, cutlery and cups. Although the paper is still strong enough to use for a short time, they smell bad and I couldn't drink from the cups. They have such a weird papery taste (similar to paper straw) because I don't think they're covered in anything. Maybe it's better for the environment, but once you use it, it's an odor that's hard to get rid of. I would consider buying a different type of mug for something you need to get that close to your nose and try. As for the plates, honestly I wouldn't do anything other than pizza and cake, I imagine that would stand up to a piece of rotisserie chicken and anything wet. Plastic utensils are ok, although no small thing. Again, this is usually just for a kids' party, and they'll use the fork for the entire five minutes on a piece of cake. I can tell you that if you go to a big store and start buying things individually, you will spend significantly more. It's good for all inclusive and fast. When you do something for grown-ups when they're just filling their plate and need a big mug, it becomes a business. In general, this is normal at a child's birthday party.
