I have Phillips Hue bulbs and switches with a hub. They work well but are very expensive. I bought these chandelier lamps at half price and a couple of regular base Meross lamps as well as Meross strips. Pros: * Very easy to set up. Most lamps require a connection to their own hotspot. They have a mode that connects directly to your wireless network (2.4GHz). You just have to follow the mode (fast flashing - flip the switch 3 times to change mode when it's slow flashing) and the 6 light setting was very quick * The app has some good features. This allows you to create automatic scripts based on temperature and location that turn off the lights when you leave the house, change the color of the light to a warmer one when it drops below 0, etc. * Connection with Alexa was quick too, simple and works well Cons: * No Homekit connectivity (expected cheaper bulb.) There is a workaround involving a Raspberry PI bridge that I will try. Homekit allows me to connect all my smart devices through one app instead of having to go into a separate app for each provider, but I don't mind.* Brightness. These bulbs are not as bright as others (e.g. Meross). However, since they come in a 5-light chandelier, that's no killer either. *I couldn't figure out how to group the lightbulbs together. I finally stumbled across the opportunity, but I'll try again. Could be a little easier to use. Overall I think this is an amazing purchase for the price. With a good app and Alexa connection and easy setup. To update. I was able to install Homebridge on a Raspberry Pi W and add the Homebridge Tuya web plugin. I now use Apple Home to control all my devices, including these lightbulbs. Under $20 total ($10 RPW + $3 micro SD + micro USB cable) and a few hours of googling.
