Does what it's designed to do
I bought this TV adapter 12 years ago and all the HDMI inputs stopped working. I connected it to the same TV's VGA input as described and connected the adapter's HDMI port to my Blu-Ray DVD player. I've been watching and listening to music videos (mainly concert recordings) and I can't tell any difference in video and audio quality between the previous HDMI input and the current VGA input. The video looks like Full HD (1080). I don't claim to be an expert in any field, but I love my music and have a modest collection of video clips.
