Review on External USB HDMI Adapter by StarTech Com by William Mahajan

I tried a cheaper version but it didn't even work and I couldn't find any useful (or positive) information about it online. This item is worth the extra cost. I downloaded the latest driver according to the attached instructions and restarted my computer. I immediately connected the new monitor as a third device. No setup was required. The driver software looks and behaves like a professional installation. The manufacturer's website looks professional, and there's a phone number on the product box to call if you need help (which you probably don't need). I mention all of this because of the difference between this product and the cheap piece of crap I tried first. You get what you pay for and additional costs are paid for quality and service.
