For medium to large dogs, but works great

Vibration mode is much better and more humane than a shock collar. It's like a mobile phone with vibration. This scares the dog, but does not harm him. The collar is adjustable in size but is quite heavy and bulky so it will be difficult for a small dog to wear. We have this in our 55 lb German Shepherd mix and it would probably be fine in our 35 lb mini border collie, but it wouldn't be normal in our dachshund mix.
