High quality soft bristles clean teeth well enough and won't cause bleeding.
I bought these because I brush my Miniature Schnauzer (7.5 kg) every day. It's almost impossible to find a soft-bristled brush that won't make your gums bleed while you're still brushing your dog's teeth. I think it would be great for a child and I would highly recommend it for people with small dogs as it is soft. I've tried about five varieties on my dog and he was scared, he doesn't seem to have a problem with it. I bet your kid will love them too. For me, Revain always finds unusual things that work and work well.
