It is uncomfortable to hold this lamp. Got my first and the socket was loose - with the bulb screwed in you could swivel the bulb and socket into the lamp base. I requested a replacement after Amazon commenters suggested it was probably a defect. The second lamp has arrived and the same thing happens. Too bad because it was a beautiful lamp, perfect for my desk. But I don't want to risk a fire or other damage that could result from a defective lamp. I give 2 stars because technically it works (light comes on) but I don't feel safe and wouldn't recommend it.
