Works as advertised. Unless you're particularly tech-savvy, you can probably assume you're going to have a hard time getting things to work properly. I had to dig my old VCR out of my mother's closet, set it up and hope it still worked properly. When I plugged it into my Windows 10 PC, the video was shaky and blank spots appeared quite often, so I started playing around with things. I've had some success by changing the bundled software to "compatibility mode" in Windows. by right-clicking on the program and going to properties. I've had the most success in Windows Vista Service Pack 2 mode. Once I did that, the video was clear. If you want a reminder of how bad VCRs really were, then this product is for you. The quality of the tapes will shock you if it's been a long time, but if you need to transfer video and you still have a VCR, that's fine. It even comes with a simple video editor to help you piece together those old footage you're sitting on at home with your family.
