Review on Revo ST 1000 Pro Video Stabilizer by Devon Holmes

Pros: Great copy of the Steadicam Merlin. The functionality is the same as the Opteka Steadyvid Pro, which costs a few euros more. Contrary to what I read before, the item was sent properly (thanks to the seller!). The hull was also excellent; it can be reused for transportation. Unlike some other camera equipment from China, this one had a correct English manual. Steadicam Merlin. Of course I expected that. There is 1 screw on the plate and as shown on the cover I was trying to balance the camcorder which needs a locating pin and screw. and the first is missing. I was expecting the platform to have 2 bubble levels, one for each axis, but it only has one "bulls eye" - and it's obscured by the camera. Static balance can be achieved by placing the handle on the bar in about 10 minutes. Dynamic balance is extremely difficult to achieve! So I agree with the previous reviewer. Conclusion: I would say that if you need a floating platform, choose a device like the Laing P-04 stabilizer.
