YES, it works with Carplay. I used this to give my 2004 Silverado a factory clean look when installing a Pioneer avh-2500NEX. I wanted one USB port for carplay and one for light because it's very dark in my truck at night, but the radio only has one USB port. I was nervous that the Carplay feature wouldn't work, but it works fine. One port says "data" and the other says "power". The data port is the top one that I plug my phone into for in-car gaming and I leave a small light plugged into the bottom port to illuminate my console.
