Great flashlights with an annoying problem (read this to solve it)

First I bought this single flashlight and then I decided I liked it so much I bought two more sets to add to my lighting arsenal would. For this I left a similar review listing the same light but in a 2 pack. It's awesome! Super portable, lightweight, durable, professional looking, colorful, easy to modify and fun! However, the light has two dimmers that allow you to mix amber LEDs with white ones (as they're called) basically without giving you a hint. what color temperature you are mixing, as is often the case with other LEDs. This is very annoying so I did some testing with a vectorscope to get the exact numbers so I could be sure of the temperature it was reporting when I was shooting on set. Here are the results: With Yellow at 100% and White at 0 the temperature is 3200K. With White at Full and Yellow at 0 the temperature is 5000K. With both at 100% you get 4000k. This is the most efficient state as both sets of LEDs emit the maximum amount of light possible. Knowing this, it is best to set the camera to 4000K.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
