Well, there is absolutely no doubt that they are made from real wool, and there is plenty of that. After washing them as directed before use, the overpowering smell of wet, dirty sheep was overwhelming. Even after the second time, the smell hasn't gone away. My laundry room smells like a barn. I can only hope that it will lessen over time.
