I drive a car with a structured and slightly curved dashboard. I also live in a very hot climate where you can bake cookies in a computer machine on a typical summer day, so suction cup phone mounts are NOT for me. Whoever designed my car also wanted to make installing the phone as difficult as possible because I have these flexible air vents. Did I mention that I live in a hot climate and don't want to block airflow out of those vents anyway? So when I was looking for phone mounts I almost resigned myself to sticking them to my windshield and blocking part of my view or going magnetic and investing in a bunch of magnets until I saw that they came with a CD player -Bracket were delivered. At first I was skeptical; I mean I haven't used my CD player in years so it doesn't take up space but how could it just stand there and hold my heavy phone? Well it turns out it has a little lever that wedges it very securely into your CD player. It holds my heavy phone, doesn't block the air conditioner vents and my phone is now right where the radio/CD is and doesn't block my view of the windshield. It's within reach, easy to get to and see without anything getting in the way, which is what I need! So yes. This is a great option.
