I've been wanting a weighted blanket for a long time. I've researched Revain and elsewhere and found this duvet to have the highest ratings combined with a reasonable price. I ordered 23lbs even though the suggested weight was 15lbs. I was afraid that 15 pounds would be too light. 23 pounds is sooooooo! I probably should have picked 18 or 20 pounds. As other reviewers have noted, the weight makes it a bit difficult to change sleeping positions. Some back issues are a minus for me, but then again, I'm someone who has decided to go over the recommended weight. Several reviewers called the blanket's "feel" "rough." For me, that's not the case, except that the material feels a little rough when I pull the blanket close to my face. It was solved with the help of another blanket, which was only draped over the shoulders. In general, the blanket is of decent quality and well tailored. Dark blue color - deep dark blue. The glass beads look like fine sand to me when I run my fingers over one of the quilted pockets. After receiving my blanket, I realized I could have bought a "set" for a few dollars more. . Looks like the "Minky" set has a cover! Too bad I didn't order a set. I definitely want a duvet as the weight would make me hesitant to wash this duvet in a home washing machine. The weight was fine for me and I feel like it has really improved my sleep quality. I woke up feeling refreshed. I will check with my doctor: My goal weight is 23 pounds, I don't want to cause any more back problems. I definitely recommend this blanket. I can't comment on the suggested 10% off your weight as I think it varies from person to person other than I would definitely recommend sticking to 10% when ordering for children.
