Nice in theory. I would have loved to use it, but it nearly broke my Christmas tree!Here's what happened:I plugged my Christmas tree into it and the cord went in fine with no resistance. Then I tried another cord in one of the other outlets. This other cord would not go in AT ALL! I then proceeded to unplug my tree from the outlet. It WOULD NOT come out! I tried wiggling and pulling this way and that. I asked my husband to help. At one point he thought he was going to have to smash (destroy) the outlet adapter to get our tree plug out. We were worried it that the cord of the Christmas tree would wiggle free from its prongs and break, it was so tight. Eventually he got it free from the outlet.So there you have it.no I may have just gotten a bad one, but I'm not going to chance it by trying another one. I think I'll send mu husband to the HD and see what is available.
