In later years, I find that it's becoming increasingly difficult for me to go on long walks/hikes without blisters, no matter what shoes I wear or socks (at least with the many pairs I already have). On a whim, I looked to see if there was such a thing as socks against calluses, and lo and behold! IT WAS. Which pairs to buy? Luckily, many others were already doing the research for me, all I had to do was read enough reviews from real users that helped me decide on TANSTC men's socks. What helped me was a review from an elderly man who had diabetes and needed something to help him walk 4-5 miles a day. Firstly I thank them for making it this far and secondly they really helped me tip the scales and decide to buy them. I've been happy ever since. I've been able to walk without blisters for over a week now, and while they may not ease the pain in my legs and hips from walking long distances, those damn blisters haven't returned, not even a bit. I think it's a win-win situation. Well, with that being said, the photos look like they sit higher than my ankle than they actually do. In truth, they are just slightly higher than the ankle socks, which you don't see in shoes. And I might add. I HATE these socks. But to be honest they managed to stay in place and not slip under my heels which was my issue with those bottom socks which seem to be popular these days. I really, REALLY don't like her. They are not that low. The thickness of the heel and the slight protrusion help a lot. They are comfortable and fit me great. In short, I love my socks. I couldn't say that about socks for a long time, if at all. I will definitely be ordering more in the future.
