It was a good value set so I wasn't looking for the quality of a handmade cotton blanket or heirloom. However, the back of the comforter doesn't look like the cotton sateen my sheets are made of. It looks like a mix of poly or acrylic and is quite glossy; The bedspread keeps slipping off the edge of the bed when I'm not using it. Also, I would NEVER put the hard side up as suggested in the product post. It would look tasteless. I don't really regret buying it as it looks good with upholstery and cushions and was good value. This helped me manage my budget as I needed to fully furnish and set up my new home. But I like to be honest and help others meet their expectations. I was expecting a light cotton blanket and got it on one side.
