I am a very hands on person and have done drywall work in the past and since my new apartment building was given the green light to run wiring in the wall I immediately set about finding a solution as per the Code requirement did . I can create a Romex but don't want to change the existing infrastructure (IE cancels the exit to do another drop from it). Also, I wanted to be able to place my TV behind a backup battery with the rest of the gear, which would not be possible with a Romex setup. I found the PowerBridge to be the best solution and now that it's installed I'm very pleased and fairly confident that with a few videos and a little research even your less experienced homeowner can complete a PowerBridge installation. It even comes with a template for your cuts, just mark the edges and glue as close as possible with a drywall saw. was *not* a fire block) to complete my installation, which would be a little tricky for the average DIYer as fixing a pumpkin cut can be a little tricky to get right. For the first time I can't have any visible wires to my wall mounted TV and I'm sure the power drop is due to the coding. Being able to detach the TV from the underside is very handy - hence the backup battery installation mentioned above. Installation is really very simple, just remember not to overtighten the flanges that hold them in place, they are plastic.
