I wasted my money. Normal septum jewelry is screw on, this is too, but the ball has a screw on it that you screw into the bar. With that being said, the bar isnt tapered at the end. I spent so long trying to get it in, and when I FINALLY did, i woke up the next morning feeling like I JUST got my septum pierced all over again. I'm not sure if the jewelry was the wrong size (I chose the same size as previously ordered jewelry from a different brand, no problems with them though) Or if the jewelry contained nickel. I can say, that as soon as I removed it, it immediately felt better. DON'T BUY THIS, it's not even that cute in person, lol
