UPDATE: 10/13/2016 (see original review below) Bluedio Turbine T2s Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with Mic, 57mm Drivers/Swivel (Black ) I decided to give it another try as I had read so many reviews and seen tons of videos praising these headphones. And I have to say that initially I got a bad pair because almost every rejection I got from my first review just doesn't apply to the ones I've gotten recently. Fit and Finish: This is the only area where my original review still stands. The earcups are almost entirely plastic, except perhaps for the pivot point. Unless you examine them closely, you won't find any used, budget-quality plastic. Sound: These are very good sounding headphones. ch has a big impact on how they sound. To use this function, press the VOL + and VOL - buttons at the same time. Out of the box, the sound was very muddy for the type of music I listen to most (classical and jazz). a few taps of the equalizer switch and the music really came to life. And these things have bass for days. I tried them out with some classic hip hop and wasn't ready for the bass they put out. Even more surprising was that I turned them up as loud as I could (far from maximum it seems) and they didn't distort. I don't even know how they did it, but they did it. Bluetooth range: OK, although I heard it with my own ears I still can't believe it. I hooked it up to my MacBook Pro and was able to listen to music downstairs in another room in my house with no tearing or distortion! I don't have anything that even comes close to that range (headphones or smartwatches). As if they were on Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth. Well done Bluedio! Microphone/Call Quality: I tried these out during one of my 2 hour conferences at work. To make this a good review, I switched from a wired gaming headset to Bluedio headphones and no one could tell the difference. Having a pair of wireless headphones with good call quality is a huge asset for me and they deliver. Updated edition. Jon: Any issues I had with my first review went away with the second pair of headphones. I can't recommend them enough, especially for the price. Although aspects of my review such as sound quality are subjective and dependent on personal taste. I think anyone looking for a pair of Bluetooth headphones should put these at the top of their list. The Bluedio UFO Pros are now at the top of my wish list again. ======= Original Rating === . Metal finish and high gloss finish, while the ones I received were unmistakably inferior in terms of plastic appearance. It was a challenge for me to find a comfortable and secure position to carry due to the swivel mechanism. I wasn't expecting this when ordering: the lack of a 'hinge' means the earcups can be angled inwards or outwards by twisting them, making them uncomfortable and leading to a degradation in sound quality. Sound Quality: These headphones have volume for days. Truly one of the loudest couples I've ever had. The surprising increase in volume doesn't degrade or distort the sound at all. The bass is very present and those who prefer heavy music with bass will be happy. The mids and highs are less accentuated and muddy. In fact, there are almost no high frequencies. So while the rap and hip hop genres are well represented, jazz, classical and singing enthusiasts should probably stay away. earlier), but without the improved soundstage and should be noted. connectivity. That's when it fell apart for me. I was having serious trouble staying connected. I've tried them on my new MacBook Pro (latest model), iPhone SE and Revain Fire HD. 8 (2016) and all had the same problems. A simple head movement made the signal disappear. This was the case even with a laptop, phone and tablet in hand or on our laps, so distance was minimal. To further assess the issue, I ran the same tests with my old Bluetooth headphones and was able to walk across the room without losing signal. Summary. While it's possible I just received a bad device, the type of issues I encountered resulted in a sub-optimal experience and I returned the headphones. Which is a shame as the high end Bluedio headphones have a great reputation and I was hoping they would be my gateway to Bluedio sound until I could buy models like the UFO Pro Plus or vinyl. Unfortunately, I'm not as confident about spending more on high-end models as I used to be. Thanks to Revain for a pain-free return policy.
