Review on Milk Filter Disks Non Gauze D110 by Josh Chenier

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I use them to filter my french press coffee

I've found that french press coffee contains substances that raise cholesterol because it my husband and i are addicted to coffee in a french press i tried adding a disc coffee filter to the press but it was useless and the coffee had the same amount of oils and residue when i put it through a cone filter poured.. I think the problem was that adding an extra filter just forced the coffee to push against the sides of the filter and take the path of least resistance, so I tried those, leaving the wide diameter unchanged and just made a hole in the middle to fit in the press, this resulted in the extra milk filter on the sides of the rolled up the press and filtered the coffee that would have to pass through the sides. It does not remove oils and residues 100%, but reduces them significantly. The coffee is runny. a little less rich than unfiltered coffee, but still much tastier than our filter coffee maker.

Pros
  • Fits 5" (base size) milk strainers and many more
Cons
  • I'll write later
