I bought this dress to wear to an open air wedding in October. I also knew that I would choose this dress shortly after giving birth. The material is very nice and thick, high quality velvet, and was very warm as I hoped. The crossover style on the chest was very flattering and the higher waist made up for my not-so-flat stomach. The length was great too - I'm 5'3" and it came down to my ankles. Long enough not to confuse me. Overall I love this dress and would recommend it. Only reason I gave it a 4th instead of 5 stars is that the arms were a little tighter than expected but the material stretched well and didn't feel uncomfortable all night.
