Very impressed with the sound-to-size ratio of this speaker. I was actually hesitating between 4 and 5 stars, but the sound is so good for this size that despite some small flaws (lack of sound and battery level not so easy) I decided on five. I accidentally dropped it from countertop height onto a tile floor and it was fine. The big plus and the vertical line are the volume control buttons. The water resistance claim does NOT mean you can swim on it in a pool (you can submerge it one meter (about 3 feet) under water for 30 minutes), but it will float. Be sure to close the small rubber flap with the USB charging port before getting it wet. I wouldn't use it directly in the shower, it has a pattern on its surface that collects soapy water. I was able to delete it but it's a bit annoying. Press the UE button once to play or pause. Press again to continue the track. Double tap to skip to the next song. Hold to sync to another nearby Wonderboom speaker. Click again to continue the track. Pairing was easy, pairing with Chromebook and Android phone was smooth. For a Chromebook, it stays connected for about 40 feet (through walls), for a phone, it stays connected for about 30 feet. Line of sight worked for at least 60 feet. A total of three tests at full volume (to test) the battery lasted 6 hours, 5.5 hours and just over 6 hours. I'm sure it will last longer at a lower volume. You can press both volume buttons at the same time and you'll get a beep telling you it's a "high" charge, which is a series of notes of increasing pitch. medium charge, which is a pair of tones, and "low", which is a series of notes of decreasing pitch. You cannot visually determine the battery level. The instructions said 2.8 hours so I left it on for 3 hours it still gave me a "mid tone". Five hours later I received a "high" charge. I'm not a fan of such a battery indicator. The battery status cannot be seen visually. The instructions say 2.8 hours so I left it for 3 and it appeared to be fully charged but again there is no visual indicator. After 2.8 hours it was still giving me "average" tone. I got a "high" charge after five hours. I'm not a fan of this type of battery indicator. I really wish there was an audio jack too, I have a couple of other Bluetooth speakers and they both have that option. It draws less power from the device being used for playback and I can also use them with my Sansa Clip which doesn't have Bluetooth.
