Wondering if it's worth spending so much money on a bike lock? My husband and I asked ourselves this question too. I ended up buying one of them and he bought a kryptonite lock. Whoever stole their bike last week cut the U-lock with no sign of a problem but was obviously very upset with my Abus lock. It's riddled with scuff marks (we counted seven different notches) and I had a bit of a hard time opening it with a key due to the damage, but I still have the bike. This is the only lock type we will be using from now on.
