Review on πŸ”₯ Enhanced OSMO Polyx Hard Wax Oil - 0.75 L (25.3 Fl. Oz.) by Carlos Deuschle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beautiful satin finish teak

Applying OSMO oil to several teak furniture that in the distant past have had 1-3 treatments of tung oil and other finishing oils. Sanded with very fine paper (500 grit), rubbed the surface and applied OSMO as finely as possible with a disposable foam brush and immediately wiped with a clean cotton jersey cloth, rubbed until resistance disappeared. On veneered surfaces, reapply after 24 and 48 hours without additional sanding. Repeat every 24 hours on veneered vertical surfaces, but not solid surfaces. Beautiful satin finish that completely hides water stains. No unwanted solvent vapors during use. It is important to wipe off immediately as OSMO will begin to dry quickly and become sticky and difficult to remove if left for more than 15-20 minutes. Rags harden as the oil dries; You have to throw them away and use new clean ones. I don't know yet if it proves to be as watermark resistant as it claims, but these 30+ year old pieces of furniture look brand new.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • It's ok
