Detailed and honest review

I use this mount for a 1.01 lb Blue Snowball. It's often used when talking to my friends on Discord and in class. Portability Issues The cable clips on my arm won't snap into place in certain places. It just seems to want to click into the middle of the cable channel. I suggest using some Velcro at the ends of the raceways. Another place where the tolerances don't seem to be the best is at the connection point where the arm itself is inserted into the female end of the bracket itself. It was noticeable at first but I didn't think it would be a problem. Now this has gotten quite annoying as subtle minor adjustments are nearly impossible. The unintentional hand movement at the base of the microphone holder is 1 inch. I made sure everything was installed correctly and both ends were clean and free of debris. Build Quality The general build quality is good. Don't use a clamp as I specifically wanted a grommet. The base itself fits well and was easy to install. The mount itself, while I appreciate being able to quickly remove it if needed, I would have preferred to have had the arm and base in connected. The cranks make a very solid impression. They are made of aluminum and have a beautiful matte black finish. However, the circular structures that connect the cranks are made of plastic. They look cheap and have a different finish than the bars, subtle but recognizable at a glance. The microphone holder is made of steel and feels very comfortable. Screws in well and the mic feels secure. The cable tensioners don't secure the cable properly and I often have to readjust. This hasn't been a problem, but it can become a problem over time. Overall, this is a good hand if you're looking for something that's easy to put together and has decent construction. If you could find a way to fix portability issues it could easily be 5 stars. The Amazon listing says it can carry 4.4 pounds. Don't be fooled though, it can only support 2.2 pounds.
