Strong locks, can be used to carry other things

The most important feature is the clasps that snap into the side - I can tell you these clasps are very strong! This container can hold a lot more than just cupcakes by simply flipping the detachable cupcake tray or removing the tray as the bottom of the tray and the "top shelf" are flat. We've used it to transport cakes, donuts, loaves of bread and muffins. If you only want one of the two tiers, say you only have 6 cupcakes then simply remove the 2nd tier and the lid will snap down - now you have exactly what you need. I love this container. It's well designed!
