Review on ๐ŸŽ‰ Crosley Furniture Landon Mid-Century Modern Bar Cabinet, White: Stylish and Functional Storage Solution by Rachel Yates

Revainrating 3 out of 5

You get what you pay for. If you had paid โ‚ฌ250 for it.

I don't often write reviews, but I felt it was necessary. My sorrow is not with the seller. In fact, if I could review just her and her alone, it would be an easy five stars. The package was shipped quickly and delivered with no issues (and given my experience with FedEx, that's pretty impressive). The package comes with a colossal amount of styrofoam and it will take forever to remove from my carpet and mess up my carbon footprint for a while. This cabinet, while incredibly stylish, is inexpensive to make. small for the frame which makes it rock back and forth very easily. While it fits comfortably on baffles, it must have been shortened by 1/4 inch - hence the wobbling. I've attached a video demonstrating this. This is easy to fix with a flat shelf mount, but it just feels unnecessary and clunky. The top shelf also looks pretty flimsy - strong, but it's only secured with four little 'locks' so might as well have one. I wouldn't recommend putting anything heavier than glasses or other lightweight accessories on it. There's also a gap between the back panels and the shelf, but if what you're trying to fit in is fairly bulky, you should be fine. However, something small is threatening to fall behind the wine fans. The main aesthetic problem concerns the upper door compartments. Once tightened, they begin to flex, causing the veneer to bend, crack, and break. This was not the case with the larger lower compartments. I've tightened them heavily of course, but they should be able to handle that pressure considering they hold heavier liquids and glassware. My final concern stems from the fact that this item is great when you pay $250 for it. It's currently on sale on Wayfair for $310 and damn I'm lucky I only paid $270 for it. None of these amounts are worth it. The production process is of poor quality; It even had an error in the instructions that made me look for two extra parts that didn't even exist. It also doesn't have a lot of space, which is odd considering how much space this closet takes up. The bottom shelf doesn't even hold a bottle of Jameson. it should go in door bays where space is very limited. A bottle of Tito hardly fits in. Most wine bottles do not fit in and are placed in their own storage rooms. On the plus side, besides the beautiful mid-century style, the wine glass shelf under the cabinet works perfectly. The doors work really well too and I'm happy with how they turned out. There's a slight wobble - but only when empty - and overall the frame is very solid. The wardrobe is a bit darker than in the Revane picture, but actually I prefer a darker color. The truth is, if you can find a similar closet and can afford a deeper pocket, don't buy it. Don't think you're getting a bargain with your purchase. It really doesn't cost more than $250. But for what it is (and if you can get a good price for it), this closet is great for people on a budget but who want to live the "mad men" lifestyle.
