Ordered as a Christmas present. I haven't given it to my husband yet but we checked with the kids. has a speaker on both sides. It was very easy to connect to my phone. Overall a good hat. The thickness was great for our snowy Northern Mie weather. Great size hat. Often the hats weren't tight enough to stay on my ears and this one fit over my ears leaving room at the top. The husband should fit perfectly, even if it shrinks after washing. The volume is maximum loud, the music is clearly audible outside the hat. The only downside I've found so far is that the charging cable is only about 2 inches long and only includes a cable with a USB connector on the end and no box to plug into to plug into the wall. If you don't already have a phone charging box or similar, you can buy one.
