Review on Logitech Wireless Trackball M570 Renewed by Adam Kotowski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm impressed! Exactly the product deserves your attention.

Great trackball. Personally, after many years of intensive use, I have no complaints about the quality and ease of use. Now, on the second computer, the old G7 has finally moved into the best mouse world and I will most likely buy this trackball. The only thing that confuses me is that I can’t predict how 2 trackballs will work on nearby computers . If anything, I will have a spare, it’s not a pity. And one more thing, regarding the complaints about the smoothness of the scrolling of the ball - wash your hands, gentlemen, and do not forget to clean the bearings - fortunately, this is very easy to do, in almost a few seconds. In no case do not put pressure on the ball - touch it gently and just rotate it. Don't grab the buttery donut and then the trackball - you'll kill him very quickly. Do not hammer on the buttons with all your dope. And then it will serve you long and well. And you will be happy! I still bought a second M570 in the fall of 2022. Both worked perfectly on 2 neighboring computers, I didn’t conflict at all, until the left button began to stick a little on the old one and I saw off the pensioner with honor for a well-deserved rest. No other mouse has lasted this long! The ball in the new trackball rotates just fine, very smoothly and easily - it glides like pasta on a Teflon pan. The new one rotated a little tight, but in a few days it passed. Has worked for almost a year, the flight is normal. Personally, for myself, I simply do not see worthy alternatives to him! Yes, I also bought the Logitech Trackman Marble at the same time as the M570 for comparison. No, it is definitely worse than the M570 - worse sensor, ball rotation, ergonomics and coating. Left it to surf the Internet.

Pros
  • 1. Excellent ergonomics. For me personally, it is the best among similar devices, the palm merges so organically with the surface that I don’t want to tear my hand off. 2 buttons under the index finger - so simple a song. When I bought it, I immediately liked it so much that I wanted to buy a second one, in reserve :) 2. Very durable coating - I bought it as soon as it appeared on the market, i. E. a long time ago. Over the years of intensive use (designer), its appearance has not changed much - just wipe it with a cloth and it looks like it was just bought. And at the same time it looks good and practical - no prints remain. But from almost all other devices, the beautiful coating peeled off after a maximum of six months. 3. Maybe I was lucky - but for the entire time of operation with the buttons there were no problems at all. Once again I repeat - INTENSIVE operation. And they work pretty well. 4. A very convenient location of the ball, if you get used to it (before that there was a wired Logitech trackball). After the classic ball (here it is smaller and located under the thumb), this one initially caused a number of inconveniences - the thumb itself is not as mobile and accurate as the index and ring fingers, and the smaller size of the ball - all this negatively affected the accuracy of moving the cursor. But I set the resolution, got used to it a bit - and everything settled down. 5. A good scroll wheel - it scrolls quite easily, but with clearly felt clicks. If not the best, then definitely not the worst. It does not cause negative emotions. 5. Very long work from one battery. 6. Miniature transmitter.
Cons
  • Global - absolutely none. Is that the ball could be a little more. And it was a little buggy at first in Windows 10, but after a few patches everything settled down.
