Works well but gets very hot

I don't think heat dissipation is a major issue with backup lights, but this LED is also listed as equivalent to a 906 bulb in my trunk if the trunk is out for long periods Time is opened time can lead to fire. Apparently the lamp should have a heatsink on one side for fitting in the trunk like the 578 Dome Light LEDs. Maybe this lamp isn't the equivalent of a 906 lamp? Otherwise, these bulbs work very well, but with so much heat, I doubt their longevity.
