As other reviews have said these are amazing speakers. I bought a 10" ELAC active subwoofer and hooked it up to a new Outlaw receiver. My outlaw subwoofer bypass filter on the receiver, set at 100Hz, seems to fit perfectly in my large (25 x 40) listening room The bass is clearly present but not boomy or overly resonant like some speakers. They are very transparent. You hear the music, not the tones or timbres provided by the various drivers. They play all types of music (classical , jazz, vocals). , chorus, rock, electronics in my library) as they are being recorded and mixed. For example, the Motown collection clearly demonstrates the ease of recording and mixing of early recordings and the increasing sophistication of recording techniques on later recordings. Rosanna Cash demonstrates her mastery of recording techniques to achieve a stunningly realistic sound on "The River and The Thread" "The Great American Songb ook" by Carmen McRae puts you in a space that beautifully portrays the space and atmosphere of her band. Shipping packaging was excellent. The build quality of the speakers is exceptional. The legs attach easily with mounting screws and alignment is easy. Here is a very happy listener.
