It takes a little practice to get near-perfect letters. We used stencil glue to ensure the stencil material adhered to the panel when applying the colours. M and W are too wide for a 1x6" board (which is actually 5.5" wide) so you need a 1 x 8 x 6' board. Try to find a plank that isn't carved from the middle of the tree. You can recognize this by the "rings" at the end of the board. The tighter the rings, the closer to the center the board was cut. Boards from the outer part of the tree are less prone to deformation. Or you can also add 2-3 pieces horizontally 1x2 on the back of the board.
