This is a really nice and well designed razor. I have also bought two other razors for a similar price and this is by far the nicest. However, none of the razors were ready to shave. .When salespeople say a shave is done, they may mean well enough to shave peachy fuzz. Although I've spent a lot of time and a lot of different stones and green shaving paste, I can prime it for a shave, but it doesn't last until a full shave. I have found that carbon steel (from another even cheaper razor) holds the edge much better and shaves much better. Of course carbon steel requires more maintenance so keeping it dry and oiled is important as it is very quick and easy to paint.
