As far as I can tell ALL decoders have a default static IP of 192.168.1.169 (encoder 192.168.1.168). I assumed they were on the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet and used an IP scanner to find them. If you connect the decoder and encoder directly with an Ethernet cable, they should work immediately after installation. If you need to connect them to an existing network on a different subnet, or if you have multiple decoders/encoders, you may need to change the default IP addresses. Also, the default username and password is admin. I feel like I was lucky enough to find out without much hassle. If any of this sounds confusing, this might not be for you. I used them to stream live video of a figure skating performance to backstage monitors, which used to be done with an RF signal. It's much better quality and easier to set up.
