, I have ordered a 6.5 inch glass to replace the stock windshield on my 18 FLHXS. I'm only about 6 feet. Production bikes always seem to get me in the eye. The windshield arrived quickly and very well packaged. I spent more time unpacking than installing. At first I thought he was a bit big. I took out the cassette and wow. I was shocked that the distance from the center hole to the top of the shield was 8.5 inches. I thought there must be a mistake and they accidentally sent me an 8.5". So I did a little research and checked the box three times (it said 6.5"). Turns out they are 6, Measuring 5" from the top of the dash to the top of the shield. Why they just don't measure the actual shield makes no sense to me. If you look at their website it shows 7" straight with a tape measure etc. Check it out Well you'll see what I mean. Doesn't matter. Anyway, sitting on the bike in the garage I still wasn't sure. .but the point. When I took it for a walk I was very happy with it. It turns out this is probably (almost) ideal growth. Maybe they could cut 1/2"-1" and "I might" like it more, but the way it is. that's great! The handling the bike was even improved and it was very windy when I took it out. I also noticed that I was starting to hear melodies better.
