I was impressed with the high quality of this mug - the folded rim and handle have no sharp edges or small burrs. The material is VERY THIN (I didn't measure it) so the mug will deform a bit if you press it hard enough and heat (or cold) will transfer through it quickly. The rivets that hold the handle to the mug are clean and secure and will remain so. My scale says my cup weighs 2.5 ounces. Hint #1: Label adhesive is very difficult to remove—soap and hot water can't touch it, and neither can isopropyl alcohol. I ended up using turpentine and a cleaning pad to remove the glue. Note #2: The rivet heads protrude maybe 1/16 inch into the cup, but with very little compression, the cup fits very snugly around the outside of the GSI Outdoors Haulite Minimalist Pot/Mug.
