My son is 1 year old and likes to use the beanbag as a lounger. It's firm enough for him to sit down properly, but he pushes him back to lie on it 😂 I sat on it and it's actually quite comfortable. I like that it's easy to clean. Whatever the material, the liquid drains right away, and if the snack sticks to it, I just take a damp towel and wipe it off right away.
