Thread and cone fit tightly - good tolerances. The same applies to external splines and drive key. Unfortunately, the processing does not seem to be very durable. I installed by hand (no impact wrench) taking great care not to damage the finish. Three months later I noticed rust on the slits of all the eyes. Spray them thoroughly with a rust remover that seems to hold them back. I live in Michigan and the roads are really salty here. Resistant to any exposed steel - so take my rating with a grain of salt (yuk-yuk).
