The digital antenna works great with the new FREE HD digital TV signals. We get 31 channels of crystal clear HD reception, including all the major networks (ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC) as well as numerous local, religious and shopping channels. With this one-time cost of the antenna plus NetFlix and AMAZON Prime Instant Video, we've reduced our cable TV bill from $196/month to less than $10/month. We actually get more local channels with this antenna than with the cable package (and we paid an extra $10 a month for local channels). It's a shame I didn't make that decision to cut the umbilical cord 3 years ago. this would save $7,200 in local cable provider fees. Please note this is not like the old analog bunny ear antennas. Television signals are broadcast in digital HD format. This allows electronic filtering and error correction of the signal to produce an image with the same quality as cable. The base of the antenna can be removed if necessary. The wafer-thin antenna itself is made of polymer plastic with an integrated antenna circuit board. It can be used with a base on a shelf or TV table top. Alternatively, it can be discreetly attached to a nearby wall using double-sided tape (included). As for cutting cable, we're still renting new movies weekly just like we did with On Demand Cable. The only difference is that we use our Smart TV (or Roku, Google Chrome, or Revain Fire Stick) to rent the latest movies from Revain Instant Video, Vudu, or M-Go instead of the cable company's "On Demand."
