Although I expected them to be light, they are much lighter than I expected! Something like those thin bags you get with umbrellas? Yes, they remind me of that, only waterproof and louder. I don't like the volume but they are definitely waterproof/resistant and it's great! We live in PNW and it's raining so the shelter for my kids is just what I was hoping for. We even took them out in the snow last weekend and my oldest layered jacket was underneath and they were the top layer and it stayed dry like the Nevada desert. I think they are definitely worth the money, even if they are quite loud.
